Comment on “All Right, With Feeling”

Upon reading your line about the player "getting to be an artist" by playing a bard, I had the idea of the player being able to pick a piece of art -- an image from google search, or a musical piece, or whatever is appropriate to the character's art specialty -- and working with the DM, and under limits related to size, complexity, etc., translate that art piece into a form the character can actually produce.

I don't think that's the right track at all, but it came to mind.
